I don't blame him for seeking a change of environment though. First he struggled to get in the side due to the fab 4 etc. Then the 2 knee injuries occured. It's very understandable.

He saw greater opportunity elsewhere, who could blame him. We've got one of the best ruckman in Jamie Charman, and a 'Dean Cox' clone in Leuenberger. As talented as he was, and Leigh has admitted this, he'd always struggle to crack the side.

I think we're all forgetting the most important part of the Wood trade though. We got Johnstone! As soon as I heard Beau retired I realised that we might be in trouble, but getting Johnstone I would consider a very handy replacement.
